If I had to choose one word to describe Jenii and Sarah's colorful June wedding, it would be "intentional."
These two thought through every single detail, bringing so much personality and love to their big day. Here were just a few of the best parts:
- Customized flowers for each and every member of their family and wedding party (bouquets! boutonnieres! corsages! floral pocket squares!)
- A floral wrap for their family's heirloom prayer book
- Spelling Bee inserts for their centerpieces, to honor their love of New York Times' Games
- A stained glass cake to reflect their venue's decor
- Custom wedding couture designed just for them
But perhaps my favorite part of the night? Coming back to clean up and seeing a room full of friends with their arms around each other, surrounding Jenii & Sarah in a circle for one last dance. It was the picture of chosen queer family, and it's one I won't forget anytime soon.
Here's to the happy couple! 🥂
